Krewe is a pandemic born business after I lost my job early in the pandemic and started creating cheese boards as a source of comfort.  When things got really dire, I started selling them.  And our baby, KREWE DE FROMAGE was born.

In New Orleans, where I’m from, a “krewe” is your social club.  It’s a place you connect with like minds over a celebration.  And who doesn’t love cheese?  
A picnic with a friend does that for me.  And I hope we can do that for you, too.

When I first started thinking of Krewe as a small business, I kept a few things in mind… Community, Culture, Cheese.  And as we move forward, I really want to work on ways to use this business as a platform for issues facing our community (small woman owned business, the UES and LGBTQ), elevate the culture of cheese loving and hospitality.  The world thrives on hospitality!  And create happiness and spread joy through cheese.

Uptaco makes NYC’s best breakfast tacos (by far).  It was created by childhood friends Derek and Dan in 2021 to help businesses without kitchens serve delicious breakfast food.  Longtime friend and co-founder in-spirit, Raffi, lives in Austin, Texas and introduced them to the culture of breakfast tacos when together on a “business” trip. 

Derek brings over a decade of culinary experience, having run numerous kitchens in NYC.  Dan has a background in finance and doesn’t cook much at home. e.terra has provided a strong platform for Uptaco to take off and grow to the next level.
